Welcome to the beginning of all your best tomorrows

what is radical vulnerability?

But from those hopeful beginnings we enter a world that can challenge and frighten us at every turn. Out of a desire to protect us from threats, our minds build the tools they believe they need to guard us from pain and despair. Maybe we learn to hide from our problems, or maybe we learn to confront them with force. These tools are effective at helping us survive when we are young and vulnerable, but they stay with us long after they have outlived their usefulness. If left unaddressed, the vigilant guardians of our minds can keep us confined in a dark reality we have long since outgrown. They turn their weapons on our friends, our loved ones, and even ourselves.

We are each born into this world perfect and deserving.

Radical Vulnerability is the process of learning to gently lower those weapons so that we may stop living in a constant state of mental warfare.

Your defense mechanisms are a sacred part of your becoming, and we will neither deny nor shame them. Instead, we will honour and incorporate them into the greater, wiser whole of yourself.

Let’s talk about…

“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.”

-Fred Rogers

Hi, i’m adam

I grew up in northern New Jersey, where I received my BA with a double major in Rhetoric and Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies from Montclair State University in 2015.

I moved to Tucson in 2016, where I began running a behavioral health program for the largest domestic abuse center in southern Arizona. In the years since, I have worked with both survivors and perpetrators of violence towards repairing their lives and improving the patterns that inform their relationships.

I received my Masters in Social Work from Arizona State University in 2021 and have been practicing trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy ever since. I have worked with clients from many different backgrounds regarding a broad range of issues. I tend to develop long term, transformational relationships with my clients that carry them through major life transitions. I love to work with those who are eager to upgrade their life and conquer self-actualization.

I understand that issues of trauma and abuse are far more complex than our society is often equipped to validate. If you have found yourself isolated from loved ones due to a rocky relationship history, I understand. If you find yourself hurting or being hurt by your loved ones and desperately want a change, I understand. If you are tired of being misunderstood and want off of the roller coaster you’ve been stuck on, I can help show you the path.

My goal is to help improve the quality of your life — whatever that may mean. I greatly look forward to the honour and privilege of sharing your story.
